Meet Beyond The Student's Founders!

Founder

Hello! I'm Akhil Kumar, a student at Moline High School currently in my junior year. My journey into tutoring began as an older sibling and cousin, where I assisted my family with homework. Over time, this sparked a true passion for teaching, motivating me to pursue tutoring on a larger scale and establish Beyond the Student. Outside of tutoring, you can find me participating in robotics, or you might spot me enjoying some tennis with my friends.

Hey there! I’m Andrew Grau, a current Junior at Moline Senior High School. Volunteering and helping those in need has always been a staple point in my life, whether it’s helping tutor kids in need, serving meals at a homeless shelter, or working on Boy Scout community projects. My passion for volunteering and community involvement has lead me to Beyond the Student, where I partnered with Akhil, aiming to create a lasting impact by providing high-quality tutoring experiences for young children in our area.
